Twilio introduced RFP Genie, an AI tool that uses GPT-4 to generate a response for RFPs by analyzing internal files and allowing sales staff to easily copy and paste the text into a formal document.
RFPs that used to take two weeks or more to complete can nowbe done in minutes thanks to Twilio's cloud tools. This will allow Twilio to make more effective sales pitches and will not result in job cuts. Twilio CEO Jeff Lawson explains that this will allow their solutions engineers to focus on
more challenging problems that require human understanding.
Sales teams at Lawson, Google's cloud unit, Essence Mediacom, and DataRobot are using generative AI RFP response bots. IBM's CEO chose an RFP bot as the winner of an internal AI hackathon, and consulting giants like Bain and Deloitte are promoting the use of RFP bots. RFP management software companies are also incorporating generative AI.
